I am an experienced literacy specialist with over eight years of experience supporting a diverse range of schools to strengthen the teaching and leadership of literacy. I am passionate about ensuring that every child develops the strong foundations in early phonics, reading and language that they need to become confident, successful and lifelong readers.

I am currently an Assistant Headteacher, Reading Leader and Teaching and Learning Lead in my own school, where I have responsibility for driving high-quality teaching and learning and supporting colleagues to continually develop their practice. I have a particular passion for early phonics and reading, and am committed to ensuring that all children, regardless of their starting point or individual needs, receive the support, opportunities and high-quality teaching they deserve.

Alongside my school-based leadership role, I have extensive experience in coaching and mentoring teachers and support staff. I enjoy working collaboratively with colleagues, building confidence, sharing effective practice and encouraging individuals to recognise and achieve their full potential.

I am driven by a strong belief that every child can succeed and that high expectations, excellent teaching and a love of reading can make a lasting difference. I am passionate about working alongside schools and staff to develop their practice, strengthen literacy provision and ultimately secure the very best outcomes for every child.
