Reception Delivery Lead, Jerry Clay English Hub

Mo Andrews is Reception Delivery Lead for Jerry Clay English Hub and brings over 30 years of experience in education, with extensive expertise in school leadership, Early Years and early reading.

An experienced Executive Headteacher, Mo has successfully led and supported schools across a variety of settings and contexts. Throughout her career, she has been committed to improving the quality of education for children and supporting leaders and teachers to develop high-quality, sustainable practice.

Mo has a particular passion for Early Years, early language and early reading and believes that the Reception year provides the essential foundations for children’s future success as readers. She is passionate about ensuring that children develop strong communication, language and literacy skills alongside a genuine enjoyment of books and reading.

As Reception Delivery Lead, Mo leads the Hub’s work supporting schools to strengthen literacy provision in Reception. She works alongside Early Years practitioners and school leaders to develop effective, evidence-informed approaches to early language, literacy and reading, ensuring that children are well prepared for the next stage of their reading journey.

Mo is committed to sharing excellent practice and building the confidence and expertise of Early Years teams so that every child has the strongest possible start to becoming a fluent, confident and enthusiastic reader
