Richard Myers is in his second year as a Literacy Specialist at Jerry Clay English Hub

Richard is an experienced Early Years and Key Stage 1 practitioner who has worked in Primary Education for 15 Years. Throughout his career, Richard has held a range of subject leadership responsibilities including Early Reading, Writing and Phonics. Richard has also held Middle and Senior Leadership Roles including Early Years Foundation Leader and Assistant Principal.

Richard is a passionate advocate of the Early Years Foundation Stage and the influence that practitioners have in securing the Foundational Knowledge and Skills needed for children to develop a love of Reading.

Richard achieved the National Professional Qualification for Early Years Leadership (NPQEYL) in 2025.
