Lauren is an experienced Year 1 teacher with a deep passion for phonics and early reading. She is committed to ensuring every child becomes a fluent, confident reader and fostering a love of books through high-quality texts and engaging stories.

Since stepping into the role of Reading Leader early in her career, Lauren has been instrumental in embedding Little Wandle across her school. Her expertise and dedication have supported colleagues to raise attainment and deliver consistent, high-quality phonics teaching, leading to exceptional outcomes in the phonics screening check.

Lauren also thrives on developing others. She mentors and coaches practitioners to build confidence and refine their practice, with teachers from her own school and beyond regularly observing her lessons to strengthen their understanding of systematic phonics and early reading.
