Tracy Swinburne OBE is CEO of Accomplish MAT and Strategic Lead for Jerry Clay English Hub. With 24 years of experience in education, she has worked across a wide range of teaching, leadership and system leadership roles in inner-city, urban, rural and international settings.
A National Leader of Education and experienced Executive Headteacher, Tracy has a strong track record of improving outcomes for children, with a particular passion for English, early literacy and reading. Throughout her career, she has led Department for Education phonics and curriculum initiatives and has developed and led literacy projects at local, national and international levels.
Tracy is passionate about ensuring that every child becomes a fluent, confident and enthusiastic reader. She believes that strong early language and literacy, high-quality phonics teaching and a continued focus on fluency and reading beyond phonics are fundamental to children's success across the whole curriculum.
As Strategic Lead for Jerry Clay English Hub, Tracy drives the strategic development of the Hub's work across Reception, Key Stages 1, 2 and 3. She is committed to ensuring that schools benefit from high-quality, evidence-informed professional development and bespoke support, enabling leaders and teachers to strengthen their practice and raise standards in reading.
Tracy was awarded an OBE for services to education, recognising her contribution to improving educational opportunities and outcomes for children and young people. Her ambition for Jerry Clay English Hub is clear: to work alongside schools to build exceptional reading provision and ensure that every child has the skills, confidence and love of reading they need to thrive.
